Welcome to the virtual home of Crediton Liberal Democrats Bookshop!

NEW IN JUNE 2010! Lots of popular fiction as a result of new and impressive donations. We've got plenty of other new stuff from history, local, national and international, to children's books including Usborne favourites. Don't delay if you see something you want in our windows!

A slight rearrangement of the shop means that we have things better set out and new volunteers are working to make your visit the best possible experience. We are also able to take orders for books, or books by authors, and search for them as required. Do drop in for a free cup of tea or cakes (cakes when available. Tea any time!!!)

The bookshop, at 48 High Street, Crediton, Devon, has been around for a good few years and serves the local community with bargain second-hand books of all sorts. Currently under new management, the shop is attracting more and more visitors and we receive regular donations of books to add to our already full shelves.

Our shop is easy to find and is situated at the top end of the High St, Crediton.

We are open six days a week, from Monday to Saturday, 10am-4pm.

The shop is staffed by volunteers and you're welcome to visit at any time. If you stick around long enough we'll offer you a cup of coffee. (There are comfy chairs for you to sit on whilst you read or browse books, too!) There is a large car park within a minute's walk from the shop at St. Saviour's Way.

Although our largest, most popular section is paperback fiction, we have books on all subjects including crime/thrillers, science, gardening, cooking, religion, collectible and classic books, sport, languages, travel, diet and health, religion, politics, history and social sciences.

Our selection of non-fiction books

We also have a growing section of children's books and families looking for a bargain for their youngsters, hoping to encourage them to read more, visit the shop in ever greater numbers.

Since popular local Liberal Democrat Councillor Bob Wright became Shop Manager, the pricing structure for books has been simplified. For all but the rarest books we charge 50p for paperbacks and just £1 for hardbacks. Many charity and second hand bookshops will struggle to offer such an amazing deal.

Our most popular section; fiction.

We welcome donations of books, no matter how small, at any time. There's no need to make prior arrangements but we include an e-mail address here if you'd like to contact us with questions or to let us know about a donation you'd like to make.

You are assured of a warm welcome at the Yellow Bookshop!
